Faculty of Science and Engineering

In 2000, the Faculty of Science was established. The faculty's teaching and learning methodology, or pedagogy, is dynamic. It is anticipated that our graduates would acquire competencies in the areas of research and teaching. At every level, this performance is continually evaluated through interactive and didactic lectures, tutorials, hands-on fieldwork, and research projects. Our students must acquire the necessary personal skills to engage in all facets of their education while upholding high moral standards. They also need to complete at least 180, 120, and 180 credits in order to be eligible for a degree under the Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate (BMD) systems, respectively. Instructors and all other participants in the training process need to: exhibit professionalism and the ability to competently skillfully transfer knowledge to the students; develop professional competences in specific fields; provide current and relevant scientific information from local, national, and international sources to the students; incorporate new learning tools and cutting-edge knowledge in specific fields; create and manage a conductive teaching and learning atmosphere.

Mission Statement

The undergraduate program at Technical University Buea aims to develop students' creativity and competitiveness in a range of scientific domains. Competitiveness, inventiveness, creativity, and moral education can help achieve this. The general goals of the faculty's academic programs are to make sure that students: gain a foundational understanding of science; contribute to scientific innovations in a variety of fields; develop creative leadership and entrepreneurial skills; cultivate a spirit of research that is specifically tailored to the local environment; and raise the standard of living for the populace by suggesting solutions to local issues.
